Industrial Roof Flashing Ideas Explained
Membranes will terminate at places where flashing must be installed to seal the line of connection. The flashing may be cured or uncured elastomeric membrane material. An elastomeric membrane is one that has the elasticity to return to its original size after it has been stretched. Uncured elastomeric membranes cure after installation and are permanently set in the size and shape they assumed when installed. Thermoset membranes are cured and thermoplastic membranes are uncured. Cured elastomeric membrane flashing is not used where it has to change direction and span a gap, such as where the roof butts the wall of the house. It should be the same material that was used on the roof.
